Egypt Takes Silver at Modern Pentathlon World Championships

Egypt’s modern pentathlon team continued its strong showing at the Senior World Championships in Guiyang, China, securing the silver medal in the men’s team competition.

The trio of Moutaz Wael, Mohanad Shaban and Mohamed El-Ashqar scored 4,687 points, just six points behind gold medallists Russia, while France took bronze.

Egyptian athletes have also delivered standout performances in the obstacle discipline, with Zeina Amer, Farida Khalil and Mohamed El-Ashkar breaking world records at the championships.
