Egypt Wins Four Medals on Day 9 of the Mediterranean Games

Omar Elramly delivered Egypt's biggest result of the day in the men's -100kg judo final, defeating Serbia's Milan Bulaja by waza-ari to take the title. Elramly entered the Games as the top seed in the category and beat a judoka with world and European junior titles.

Egypt's table tennis stars Hana Goda and Omar Assar won silver in the mixed doubles final after a closely contested match against Türkiye's Abdullah Talha Yiğenler and Ece Haraç, who prevailed 3–2. Goda, the teenage prodigy widely seen as the present and future of the sport in Egypt, teamed up with Assar, one of Egypt's most memorable table tennis figures at the Olympics, reaching the singles quarter-final in Paris 2024.

Safa Soliman secured bronze in the women's +78kg judo category after defeating Tunisia's Souwar Dhaouadi 12–0 in the bronze-medal bout, giving Egypt another podium finish in the judo session.

Hady Hussein also reached the judo podium in the men's +100kg category. He claimed bronze after defeating Croatia's Mikita Svirid by ippon, a decisive score awarded for a throw or hold that ends the contest, to add Egypt's fourth medal of the day.
