La Liga's Racing Santander Signs Egyptian U23 Captain Mohamed Haitham

There’s been a second Egyptian deal to hit Spanish Club Racing Santander's corridors this summer. After the signing of forward Bilal Attia, the La Liga side inked Egypt U23 captain Mohamed Haitham. Haitham, a youth-team product of both Al Ahly and Zamalek, said his desire to develop is what pushed him to turn down competing offers from the Portuguese, Swiss, and Norwegian leagues in favour of La Liga, where he'll begin his journey with the U23 side as soon as the pre-season camp gets underway, expected to kick off on July 20th.
