Jeddah Cricket Stadium Planned Under Saudi-Pakistan Agreement
The Saudi Cricket Federation and Pakistan Cricket Board will cooperate on technical expertise and international best practices.
The Saudi Cricket Federation and the Pakistan Cricket Board have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a new international-standard cricket stadium in Jeddah, as part of broader efforts to expand the sport's infrastructure in Saudi Arabia.
The agreement was signed in Riyadh in the presence of Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Mohammed, Chairman of the Saudi Cricket Federation, and Mohsin Naqvi, Pakistan's Interior Minister and Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Under the memorandum, the two organisations will collaborate on technical expertise, facility planning and the adoption of international operational standards to support the development of cricket infrastructure and strengthen the Kingdom's capacity to host international tournaments.
The agreement also supports wider efforts to expand participation in cricket and develop pathways for players at different levels, alongside preparations to stage higher-profile competitions in Saudi Arabia.
Separately, the six-team Dunes T20 League is expected to take place around the second week of October, featuring international players alongside emerging and established Saudi cricketers as part of ongoing efforts to raise the profile of the domestic game.
