All You Need to Know About the 100 Miles Summit
The first-of-its-kind event gives Egypt's sports industry a meeting point.
On May 2nd, stakeholders from across Egypt’s sports ecosystem take over ZED Park in Sheikh Zayed for the 100 Miles Summit — a first-of-its-kind industry gathering about everything that happens off the playing field.
Built as a 360-degree platform, the summit brings together athletes, executives, federations, media, startups, and investors under one metaphorical roof with a clear focus of building a more structured, sustainable, and commercially viable future for Egyptian sport.
The Conversations That Matter
The summit’s panel lineup leans into where Egyptian sport is already dominant and where it needs to evolve.
Leading the charge is “Squash Excellence: Securing Egypt’s Global Dominance,” bringing together Amr Mansi, Ali Farag, Ramy Ashour, and Karim Gawad.
From there, the lens widens. Padel’s explosive growth takes center stage in “The Padel Boom: Beyond the Court,” breaking down how a trend turns into an industry.
There’s also a sharper, more strategic layer:
• “The Future of Sports in Egypt: Vision 2030” defines long-term direction
• “Sports Tourism: From Pyramids to Beaches” reframes Egypt as a global sports destination
• “Road to the Olympics” - featuring Farida Osman - dives into elite pathways and preparation
But the summit doesn’t stay at the top with panels like “Where to Start? The Parent Dilemma” and “Better Late Than Never” shifting the focus to access and talking about things like who gets into sport, when, and how.
Media, Influence, and the Business of Sport
If there’s a defining thread across the agenda, it’s that sport is no longer just competition. The industry as a whole has expanded into content, brand, and business.
Panels like “The Role of Media in Sports” and “The Rise of Sports Influencers” unpack how narratives are built, scaled, and monetized.
At the same time, “Personal Branding for Athletes” and “Tech in Sports” reflect a shift toward athlete-as-platform, where visibility, storytelling, and digital infrastructure carry as much weight as performance.
Workshops
Beyond the panels, the summit moves into smaller, high-impact workshops, capped at 20–30 participants to keep things focused and interactive.
• Capturing Motion — sports photography and videography
• AI and Digitalization in Sports — insights from an app founder
• Personal Branding for Athletes — building a marketable identity
• Mental Health in Sports — a holistic approach to performance
• Securing Investment for Sports Startups — turning ideas into funded ventures
Each session runs 45–60 minutes, with reservations required, making them one of the most valuable parts of the day.
The 100 Miles Summit operates across clear pillars including knowledge, connection, inclusivity, investment, discovery, and growth, all working toward one outcome: turning Egyptian sport into a functioning ecosystem, not isolated success stories.
